Boater Ed Class - St. Tammany

This free boating course usually lasts between 6 and 8 hours. Participants usually complete the course in one day. The course includes information on choosing a boat, classification, hulls, motors, legal and equipment requirements, navigation rules, navigation charts, trailering, sailboats, and related subjects that include canoeing, personal watercraft and more. Participants who complete the course will receive a Boater Education Certificate. Additional Information **This date is being held in conjunction with our annual "Boating Safety Langiappe Day. The instructor will provide lunch to all students, however, students may bring their own lunch or have means to gather lunch during a one-hour lunch break.** This course is required by law to be taken by any individual, born after January 1, 1984, who may find themselves operating a boat by themselves on Louisiana public waterways. The course includes information on classification, hulls, motors, legal and equipment requirements, navigation rules, navigation charts, trailering, sailboats, and personal watercraft. A permanent certification will be emailed to the registered email address in approximately 2 weeks.
