HOW TO REQUEST DATA

Procedures for Submitting a Database Search or Data Request to the Louisiana Natural Heritage Program (LNHP)

The LNHP will review a proposed project for impacts to rare, threatened, or endangered species and critical habitats known from our database. Please read Understanding out data {link to the page} for important information governing the use of our data. If you wish to have a proposed project reviewed, you must submit a written request containing the following information:

1. Detailed project description.
2. Map showing exact area of project location (a USGS 7.5 minute topographic quadrangle map is preferred or CD mailed with ArcView Shape file projected in NAD83,UTM, Zone 15).
3. Review parameters (ex: 1 mile radius of project area).
4. Please indicate latitude, longitude, township, range, and section if known.
5. In order to provide this service, we must charge a fee of $20.00 per quad reviewed. We will send an invoice with our letter of findings.

Any other data requests must be submitted in writing to the LNHP Data Manager at the address above. Please give specific details regarding your request and a telephone number where you can be reached.
