Agents from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division will attend the KNOE Boat and Outdoor Show at the Monroe Civic Center from Jan. 27-29.
The agents will have an information booth to answer boating safety questions and to provide the public with important boating safety tips. They will be distributing important information to attendees in order to get them ready for the upcoming boating season.
The show will be held on Friday from 12-8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
The agents will also be prepared to answer questions on new regulations that have gone into effect. Among these new regulations include information about boating safety courses that are now mandatory for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1988, who wants to operate a motorboat on the state's water bodies. The booth will also have 2006 Fishing Pamphlets that includes the latest regulations and law changes.
This show will a provide a great opportunity for anyone who is considering buying a boat to see the latest styles along with the variety of campers, RVs, and other outdoor equipment while getting important boating safety information form us," said LDWF Capt.
