The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has scheduled a deer lottery hunt on the Bayou Macon Wildlife Management Area (WMA) for Nov 18 and 19 during the 2006 deer-hunting season.
Applications must be accompanied by a non-refundable $5 check or money order made payable to LDWF. Applications must also be received by Sept. 7 at the following address:

Applications are available at LDWF's Web site at www.wlf.louisiana.gov by highlighting "Hunting" from the drop down menu and then by highlighting "WMAS/Refuges" and lastly by clicking "Lottery Hunt Applications." Successful applicants will be notified by mail with their lottery permits. Applications are also available at LDWF's regional offices.
Applications may be submitted individually or as a group with no more than five applications per group. If applying as a group, each application must indicate the same choices and all applications must be stapled together. Applications submitted as a group will be drawn as a group.
Applicants are required to have all appropriate licenses including WMA hunting permits and Harvest Information Program (HIP) permits. No licenses will be available at the hunting site. License information can be obtained at any LDWF regional office and on the LDWF Web site at www.wlf.louisiana.gov.
LDWF will only accept one application per hunter. A random computer drawing will be held in early October and successful applicants will be notified by mail.
