WHAT: Operation Lilypad will simulate search and rescue missions in a flooded New Orleans. Water and air rescue procedures by boat and helicopter will be tested in various simulations to determine operational readiness.
News media representatives will be accommodated with access to watercraft and aircraft participating in the exercise.

DETAILS: Media representatives are advised to bring proper identification to present at checkpoints into secured Operation Lilypad area. A four-hour event schedule is planned and participating news organizations should also bring food, water and waterproof gear as would be needed in an actual flood emergency rescue zone.
