The Food Network is set to broadcast the Great American Seafood Cook-Off from last year's Louisiana Restaurant Association's show in New Orleans four times this week.
Judges selected executive chef and owner of Brigtsen's Restaurant, Frank Brigtsen, as the second-place winner in the national competition out of 20 chefs from around the country. Brigtsen used a recipe featuring some of Louisiana's all-time favorites - lump crabmeat, jumbo shrimp and coastal drum fish.
Chairman of the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board Harlon Pearce said, "Chef Brigtsen made Louisiana proud in this prestigious national competition. It is not only a reflection on his talents, but also a tribute to the quality and taste of Louisiana seafood."
