Project ChildSafe
Project ChildSafe is a nationwide program of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association of the firearms industry, to promote firearms responsibility and provide safety education to all gun owners. Its central focus is to help prevent firearm accidents by providing materials and information to help gun owners to properly store their firearms when not in use. Key to the program are its Firearm Safety Kits, which are made available for free to law enforcement agencies across the U.S. for distribution in their communities. The program has provided more than 36 million free firearm safety kits through a network of more than 15,000 law enforcement partners since it launched in 1998.
