Tis the season...for outreach events that is! I have been busy spreading the word about Louisiana black bears and whooping cranes the past couple of weeks. It has been great visiting with folks at the Baton Rouge Earth Day Celebration, the Stir the Pot Festival in Abbeville, the Calcasieu Parish Youth Wetlands Day event, the Zephyr's Earth Day baseball game, and giving a black bear presentation to a class at the School for the Scared Heart in Grand Coteau (photo attached).
This week's events includes the Acadia Parish Youth Wetlands Day event at Midland High School, the Louisiana Heritage Cook Off event this Saturday in Livingston, LA and a whooping crane presentation at 7 pm May 8th at the Lafayette South Regional Library located at 6101 Johnston Street, Lafayette LA.
Hope to see you soon at one of these upcoming events!
Remember, endangered means there is still time!
