Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited three men for alleged hunting violations on Jan. 27 in Ouachita Parish.
Agents federally cited James Chico, 52, of Shreveport, Joshua Madden, 45, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Brian Adcock, 38, of Benton, for hunting migratory game birds over a baited area. Agents also cited Chico for aiding and abetting others in hunting migratory game birds over a baited area. Madden was also cited for not possessing a non-resident basic hunting license, non-resident duck license and a federal duck stamp.
During a waterfowl survey in Northeast Louisiana, bait was spotted on a dry peninsula in the Ouachita River. Agents documented the bait in the area and setup surveillance.
On the morning of Jan. 27, agents observed the subjects actively hunting the baited area for migratory game birds and seized two blue wing teal.
All federal cases for hunting migratory game birds over a baited area are filed with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for prosecution in Federal Court.
Agents participating in this case are Corporal Joshua Harris, Corporal Torris White and Sgt. Justin Gouedy with assistance from Owen Best.
