The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the water level in Iatt Lake will be lowered for a brief period of time beginning on May 31, 2018, in order to complete necessary repairs of the spillway management gates.

The water level will be lowered to a point approximately 9 feet below pool stage in order to access the management gates. It will take several weeks to lower the water to the desired level, and the work is anticipated to be completed within two weeks of achieving the proposed lowered water level. Immediately upon completion of the work, the gates will be closed and the lake allowed to re-fill. The time to re-fill the lake will be dependent upon rainfall after the gates are closed.
