The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is accepting photos for its Louisiana Fishing Regulations Cover Photo Contest. The winning photo will be featured on the cover of the 2016 publication.

A judging panel composed of LDWF Fisheries staff will look for photos that best portray recreational fishing in Louisiana and will select and announce a winner in early November 2015.

Photos not selected for the cover may still be featured on one of the Department’s social media channels or new recreational fishing website, www.FishLA.org.

Entries should be emailed to outreach@wlf.la.gov by midnight on Friday, October 16. Photos must be unedited digital images shot in Louisiana. Each submission (one photo per email) should be portrait (vertical) orientation, high resolution (a minimum of 1600 x 1000 pixels but no larger than 12 MB) and free of date stamps or other markings.

With all submissions, please include the photographer’s name, names of individuals in the photo, where the photo was taken, the approximate date and contact information.

The Louisiana Fishing Regulations pamphlet is the state’s official publication for recreational fishing seasons dates, harvest limits and regulations. The guide is available online and in hard copy at LDWF offices and license vendors statewide.
