The Louisiana Wild Seafood Certification Program (LWSCP) is a voluntary program for Louisiana wild seafood that was passed by the Louisiana Legislature in 2010 and was developed with the intention of establishing a more professional seafood industry with better handling practices and higher quality products. On March 10, 2014, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) will launch a web-based application system that will streamline the application process for current and potential participants of the LWSCP.

The new LWSCP web-based system will allow prospective and current participants to create a user profile, submit a program application or renewal, attach required documentation, track the status of their application during the review process, and view important program notifications and updates. Additionally, the new system will allow participants to link multiple profiles, making it easier for a participant to keep track of multiple locations.

Application Process

If you are a current LWSCP participant or have submitted an application that has not been approved, you will be receiving instructions by mail on how to login to the new web-based system and link to your current application.

If you are interested in applying for LWSCP visit  https://lwscpadmin.wlf.louisiana.gov/ starting March 10th to create an account and submit an application. Applications for (LWSCP) are accepted anytime throughout the year.
