The Get Out and Fish! community fishing program brings high quality, fun fishing locations to a community near you. LDWF has partnered together with local governments and community organizations to bring fishing sites to easily accessible park and neighborhood ponds throughout the state. This month our community fishing sites were stocked with adult size channel catfish, so grab your fishing gear and bring your friends and family to one of our 12 community fishing sites. Click here for a list and directions to all LDWF Get Out & Fish sites throughout the state.

LDWF plans to stock rainbow trout at each of our sites in January, so follow us on facebook @ldwfgetoutandfish for up to date stocking information.

Participants 16 & older must possess a valid Louisiana fishing license. If you would like to purchase a fishing license, you can do so online at https://la-web.s3licensing.com/

This program is hosted in conjunction with the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation.  The LWFF was formed to provide a means for individuals and corporations to become partners with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission in the challenge of conserving Louisiana’s wildlife and fish resources.
