A Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agent cited a man for an alleged recreational fishing violation on March 26 in Terrebonne Parish.

The agent cited Joseph R. Molliere, 31, of Theriot, for possessing over the limit of black bass.

Senior Agent Richard Bean was on patrol and stopped a vessel for a boating safety and license compliance check in Falgout Canal.  The agent found Molliere in possession of 42 black bass.  This put Molliere 32 black bass over his daily possession limit of 10 per person.

Possessing over the limit of black bass brings a $100 to $350 fine and up to 60 days in jail.  Molliere also faces civil restitution totaling $448 for the replacement value of the 32 fish over the limit.
