A Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Enforcement Agent cited a subject for an alleged littering violation on June 14 in Orleans Parish.

Senior Agent Salvador Mangano cited Lynda Tran, 44, of New Orleans, for gross littering.

Senior Agent Mangano was on patrol in Orleans Parish when he observed litter at the intersection of Hwy. 90 (Chef Mentuer) and Hwy. 11.  This intersection has been cleaned multiple times by the Department of Transportation and Development and is a long standing area for litter and dumping.

Senior Agent Mangano searched the new litter pile that included household trash and was able to find identifying material that was linked to Tran.   Senior Agent Made contact with Tran and determined the litter was intentionally placed.

Gross littering carries up to a $900 fine, up to 30 days in jail and 16 hours of community service in a litter abatement program.
