The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission today adopted resolutions that formally enroll five state wildlife management areas (WMA) in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries’  WMA program.

The specific properties include Ben Lilly WMA in Morehouse Parish, Big Colewa WMA in West Carroll Parish, Hutchinson Creek WMA in St. Helena Parish, Marsh Bayou WMA in Evangeline Parish and Walnut Hill WMA in Vernon Parish.

The Commission’s resolution procedure is part of the formal regulatory process that must be followed in the establishment of WMAs.
