Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited two Belle Chasse men for alleged litter violations in Plaquemines Parish on two separate occasions.
Agents cited Gabriel Menendez, 20, on Jan. 29, and Justin Vernon, 38, on March 10, for gross littering.
Agents located two stripped down personal watercraft that were dumped on Walker Road in Belle Chasse. During the investigation, agents were led to Menendez and he admitted to dumping both personal watercraft.
Agents also found a large pile of construction debris, home appliances and household trash dumped near Walker Road. Agents found evidence in the trash that led them to Vernon’s address.
Gross littering carries up to a $950 fine, 30 days in jail and 16 hours of community service in a litter abatement work program.
Participating agents for these cases are Sgt. Villere Reggio and Corporal Austin Landry.
