Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited two subjects for alleged migratory game bird violations in Allen Parish on Dec. 3.

Agents federally cited Donald Fuselier, 68, of Kinder, and Jerry Busby, 66, of Reeves, for hunting migratory game birds over a baited area, taking over the limit of ducks and violating non-toxic shot requirements. Agents also federally cited Busby for placing bait to take migratory game birds.

Agents observed Fuselier and Busby hunting migratory game birds near Kinder. Agents made contact with the men and found them in possession of 10 wood ducks and toxic shot. The daily limit on wood ducks is three per licensed hunter.

During the investigation, agents found that the men were hunting over corn that was placed by Busby.

Agents seized the 10 wood ducks harvested from the baited area.

All migratory game bird baiting cases are filed with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for prosecution in Federal Court.

Agents involved in the case are Sgt. Zachary Meche, Corporal Michael Darbonne and Senior Agent Clinton Willis.
