Today, the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission modified the rules and regulations for approved Aquatic Organisms to include the native Shovelnose sturgeon.
 
This action will allow the development of additional aquaculture business in Louisiana while providing safeguards to assist in protecting native fish species.
