Wax Lake Outlet Campground on Atchafalaya Delta WMA Closed Due to Construction Work

The Wax Lake Outlet campground on Atchafalaya Delta Wildlife Management Area (WMA) will be closed through Oct. 31, 2022 due to construction work associated with campground renovations, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced.

Improvements will include a bulkhead and rock jetty to protect the campground from erosion as well as new docks and dirt work to improve user experience.
