Search and rescue teams from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO) recovered the body of a Lake Charles man at 2:25 a.m. this morning, June 1, from Lake Charles.

At 10:45 p.m. on May 31 search crews were notified about a man who fell overboard into Lake Charles and did not resurface.  The search teams arrived on scene and learned that George Dixon Jr., 45, of Lake Charles was onboard a 35 foot Cabin Cruiser when he fell overboard without a personal flotation device while the vessel was drifting.

LDWF agents and CPSO deputies with the use of side scan sonar located and recovered the body of Dixon and turned his body over to the Calcasieu Parish Coroner's  Office.
