The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has reopened Sutton Lake Road to vehicle traffic on the Pomme de Terre Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The road was closed due to flooding.
Pomme de Terre WMA is located approximately six miles east of Moreauville on Louisiana Highway 451 in Avoyelles Parish. Available game species include deer, squirrel, waterfowl and rabbit. There is a youth deer season and a youth turkey lottery hunt. A boat launch into Sutton Lake provides limited recreational fishing access.
