All Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) hunter and in-person boater education classes in May have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the Youth Hunter Education Challenge state competition set for May 30 has been canceled.
LDWF is still offering students an online boating education class option at https://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/page/boater-education.
As soon as it is deemed safe and appropriate, LDWF will schedule hunter education classes to meet public demand.
