Description
A medium snake- 16 to 42 inches long. Bright green above and yellow below. Keeled (ridged) scales in 17 rows.
Range and Habitat
Found throughout the state adjacent to marshes or at the edge of forests.
Behavior
An active-diurnal snake often concealing itself in vegetation. Feeds on spiders and insects. Lay between 3 and 10 eggs.
Population Status
Populations are considered stable within the state.
